Farnoosh Ahmadi

My name has Its Persian roots in the words for nature and water, so It is probably no accident that my emotional inspiration as an artist is similarly rooted in exploration of the variety of nature.I was born and grew in Tehran. I started painting before high school. 

I received my diploma from high school for fine arts and hold a bachelor degree in painting in the Azad University in Tehran,Iran. I have been professionally active in painting with acrylics. I also do photography and pen and ink drawing. 

I am member of society of Iranian painters and the Institute for Promotion of Visual Arts in Tehran. 

My paintings were featured in five solo shows and many group exhibitions in Iran and Maryland, Washington, DC including at the Meridian International Center, in Washington, DC as well as a juried exhibit at the Delaplain Art Center. 

I received painting awards from the Mirror in Mirror Art Festival and the Bahman Cultural Center.I was also awarded the Manifestation of Feeling in Painting prize from the Niavaran Cultural Center, Tehran and I was the winner of Iran Contemporary Painting Biennial in Saba Art and Cultural institute in Tehran.
